What a great hunt!!!
I passed on two bears the second night, could not get a shot on a huge boar the forth night, the next day, I missed an average size bear, and finally arrowed a very nice boar.
Dick (the guide) provides an excellent service. He knows the area very well and he knows how to put you on a bear. He worked very hard to make our stay fun, exciting and successful.
Thank you Dick for an unforgettable exciting week.

To Whom It May Concern,

The term "It's not what you know, it's who you know." comes to mind as I unwind from my 2007 Maine moose hunt. As primarily an upland bird and turkey guide I thought I knew a thing or two about hunting but it soon became apparent I was a novice when it came to actually "hunting" moose. Past experience as part of a moose hunting entourage consisted of spine breaking hours of driving on logging roads hoping an unsuspecting moose would be spotted within winching distance of the road. It soon became apparent that that wasn't the case when guided by Master Guide Dick Fennelly. Dick has done his homework and knows every nook and cranny of the thousands of acres he guides in. I was a bit skeptical when he told me that calling in a bull moose using a handmade birch bark call was a lot like calling in a spring gobbler. But less than an hour into opening morning a bull was on its way, grunting in response to Dick's cow calls. There was no hesitation when I saw the 14 point, 44" rack and soon the 760-pound Bull Moose was on the ground. As the saying goes, "That's when the real work begins." But no worries as lickety-split my bull was field dressed, dragged to the road and winched onto a flatbed trailer and we were on our way to the registration station and the butcher. My only regret is that the hunt was over so fast and I wasn't able to see more bulls called in with a traditional birch bark call. Awesome. I highly recommend Bog Mountain Guide Service for any hunt. There is no more capable guide or woodsman than Dick Fennelly.
